TERMITE SWARM SEASON 2021 - Haves / Will Haves

Published April 18th, 2021 by Coveralladmin

There's a saying in Texas that goes like this:  There are two kinds of homes in Texas; those that Have termites and those that Will Have termites.  Which category does your home fit in?

Whether you're in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio, now is the time to assess your home for existing or potential termite activity.  Of course the best way to do this is to have a State licensed/certified termite inspector to make an in person assessment and plan of action for your home. But here are few things you can look for on your own:

  • Tubes - Small mudlike structures coming up along the foundation of your home (go ahead and break them open to see if there are termites)
  • Swarm - Hundreds or even thousands of flying insects inside your home.  Swarmers will be attracted to light and are often found congregating around windows
  • Pin Holes - Termites within a wall, window frame, or door frame may leave several small pin sized holes as they are exploring.  Sometimes these pinholes will be plugged with a small amount of mud
  • Shed Wings - Swarming termites will shed their wings most often on window ledges

If you see any of these signs then contact us for your Free Home Inspection.  Our experts will inspect, identify, and protect your home from Termites... YEP, WE COVER THAT!
